Peter Gabriel Again

We cruised into our Tuesday am Overnight Album Side with a slice of Peter Gabriel’s second album from 1978, like his first one also self titled. Peter was never one for complicated album titles, at least not for his solo releases.

Several years removed from Genesis at this point, he teamed up with King Crimson founder Robert Fripp who produced and played guitar. Other significant guests included keyboardist Roy Bittan from the E Street Band and synthesizer whiz Larry Fast who contributed much to the musical texture of the record.

There were no really big songs commercially but there are several that became favorites, tracks like “On The Air” and “D.I.Y.”, the first two songs on Side 1 which also included “White Shadow.”
