General Contest Rules
All contests on 97.1 FM The Drive and WDRV.COM are open to legal U.S. residents residing in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan or Wisconsin, 18 years of age and older, unless otherwise specified.
All taxes are the responsibility of the prize winner. Winners will be required to complete a W-9 for tax purposes for all prizes valued at $50.00 or more. From the date awarded, all forms must be completed, returned and postmarked within 7 business days to WDRV-FM. If the proper forms are not completed and returned, prizes will be considered forfeited and will not be awarded.
Prizes may not be substituted or transferred.
97.1 WDRV reserves the right to substitute alternate prizes of comparable value.
Prizes are offered “as is” with no written or express warranty.
All prizes will be delivered via First Class United State Postal Mail, unless otherwise specified. 97.1 WDRV is not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.
Participants are eligible to win one prize per household every 30 days unless otherwise specified.

For all internet contests on WDRV.COM there is one entry per person, unless otherwise specified – multiple entries will result in disqualification. For alternate means of entry send a postcard with your Name, Address, Date of Birth (including year) and home phone along with the name of the contest to:

The Station and sponsors are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone or other transmission failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; or incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions whether caused by the Station, users, by any equipment or programming utilized in promotions, games or contests, or by human error which may occur in the processing of submissions, which may limit a participant’s ability to participate.
For contests/promotions involving Internet voting, if the Station or Sponsor determines in its sole discretion that there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering, including but not limited to circumvention of voting limit mechanisms, or fraud relating to any portion of the Contest, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Contest, it may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest, in whole or in part, at any time without notice.
Members of the 97.1 WDRV database can be automatically entered for any contest aired on The Drive 97.1 or advertised on the station’s website or interactive phone line at the station’s discretion.
The Station is not responsible for late, lost, illegible, misdirected, mutilated or incomplete entry forms.
No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited. All decisions of 97.1 WDRV are final.
Employees of 97.1 WDRV, Hubbard Radio Chicago, LLC and its properties, sponsors, vendors and their immediate families are not eligible to win.
If a contest or sweepstakes is conducted on Facebook, winners may be required to sign a release form agreeing to release and hold harmless Facebook, its officers, directors, employees, sponsors, partners, agents, assigns and affiliated companies from attorney’s fee, as a result of participation in the contest and/or use of the prize. Contests and / or sweepstakes are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook.
Winners may be required to sign a release form agreeing to release and hold harmless 97.1 WDRV, Hubbard Radio Chicago, LLC, its officers, directors, employees, sponsors, partners, agents, assigns and affiliated companies from attorney’s fee, as a result of participation in the contest and/or use of the prize.
Except where prohibited, entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or the prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate federal or state court of Illinois, USA; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorneys’ or legal fees; and (3) unless otherwise prohibited, under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with this Contest shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Illinois, USA without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of State of Illinois, USA or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Illinois, USA.
All contest winner must prove he or she is a qualified winner by presenting acceptable identification (e.g., valid state driver’s license; state issued identification card; valid passport with address verification; or birth certificate with social security card and photo identification and address verification). If a winner cannot prove he or she is a qualified winner, the prize will not be awarded.
Calling 97.1 WDRV or entering a contest via the 97.1 WDRV website constitutes prior permission to use your name, character, photograph, voice and likeness in connection with promotion of any and all contests on 97.1 WDRV and waives any claim of royalty, right or renumeration for such use.
97.1 WDRV is not responsible for replacing tickets as a result of show cancellation, weather conditions, promoter, performer, travel arrangements or events beyond the control of the station.
