Long before CDs, mp3s and iTunes there was…VINYL!
Where did you go to get that vinyl back in the day? The Record Store! Where can you get vinyl today? The Record Store!
Tune into The Drive this Saturday, April 23rd as we celebrate Record Store Day!
Seaver will drop the needle on some vinyl cuts from some killer reissues, remasters, special editions and more from some of your favorite classic rockers from 10a-2pm.
Plus – we’ll be getting some of that exclusive vinyl in your hands thanks to our friends at Bucket O’ Blood Books and Records on 3182 N. Elston Avenue in Chicago! Just listen to win…
Join us as we celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Record Store Day this Saturday from 10a-2p from Bucket O’ Blood Books and Records and 97.1 FM The Drive – Chicago’s Classic Rock.
This will be Bucket O’ Blood’s 8th year participating in Record Store Day. Pre-Covid, we were known for our elaborate theme parties each RSD, and this year we’re excited to offer a somewhat scaled back celebration of vinyl by framing the day as a classic rock n’roll reunion tour.
Doors open at 9am for our “Back To The Bins ’22” reunion celebration. We’ll have hundreds of exclusive RSD vinyl, in addition to our outstanding selection of new and used inventory. Limited edition merch, such as t-shirts, slipmats, and more will be available while supplies last. At noon, everyone with a VIP Backstage Pass will be welcomed into the Green Room to enjoy libations courtesy of our neighbors at Metropolitan Brewing. And of course, we’ll be blasting a specially curated playlist of classic live tracks all day!
As with every RSD, no holds or pre-orders allowed, just come on out and celebrate vinyl!
