Here at The Drive, we love our pets and we salute our vets! For those who’ve given the ultimate service to our nation, it’s often difficult to resume a normal lifestyle following active duty.
This is where you can help as The Sherman & Tingle Show along with the Home Depot Foundation presents “Give a Vet a Pet!” From February 24th through February 28th, we’re raising money for the 1 Pet 1 Vet organization to secure trained service dogs for veterans in need.
Service dogs as companions have proven to help many veterans cope with life after their service. The cost to train and place a service dog with a veteran in need is $15,000. Sherman & Tingle’s goal this year is to secure four service dogs…that’s $60,000 by Friday, February 28th!
